We are looking for a North Asia Sales Director in Hong Kong who has experience with Mobile Messaging/Emailing, Cloud Services or Mobile Technology, has international exposure and enjoys working in a fast-growing cloud communications company. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for the generation and development of both inbound and outbound new business opportunities; with a focus on the acquisition of new businesses (both local and overseas). This role will be based in our Hong Kong office.
To be successful in this role, the candidate should ideally come from a Mobile Messaging/Emailing, Cloud Services or Mobile Technology background with international exposure and have experience working in fast-moving environments. The candidate should also have prior experience taking accountability for reaching targets set for the region and be able to work independently; with the aim of meeting and exceeding the expectations of our business objectives and contributing to our company’s success in the long run.
- Developing and generating new business relationships and negotiate new businesses
- Focusing on building great relationships and winning the most relevant key players in vertical markets such as E-Commerce, Transport, Logistic, Digital Marketplaces, Fintech, Banks, and Insurances
- Managing existing agreements and setting up new bilateral agreements with SMS aggregators and Telco Operators
- Managing and developing the sales pipeline and ensure that all sales administration is kept up to date
- Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
- Creating and being accountable for all client proposals, contracts, and any further documentation
- Managing the entire sales process
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Ideally more than 5 years of sales experience in the Mobile or Internet industry with at least 3 years’ experience in a field facing role
- Previous experience in the mobile messaging or emailing industry is highly beneficial
- Hands-on experience with international exposure in fast-moving environments
- A strong team player with a passion for selling innovative, disrupting products and has a deep understanding of the cloud communications industry
- Excellent overview of the business to closely track industry and product trends to stay at the top of the game
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
- Customer-driven focus and excellent people and communication skills to establish a good rapport with customers
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasive skills across all levels with strong selling and sales aptitude
- Resourceful, strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and cope with the pressure
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Written and verbal fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese is required
