Wavecell announces regional expansion plans
Wavecell, the cloud communications service provider with a strong foothold in Asia, continues to expand its activities in the ASEAN region. After successful entries in the Philippines and Hong Kong, the Singaporean company now strengthens its sales efforts in Indonesia and Thailand.
Wavecell is pleased to announce its recent hires of Narit Duangkruaratichote, Country Manager for Thailand and Hastaryo Cahyadi, Country Manager for Indonesia, to oversee all sales and business operations within their respective countries.
The company has reached a new milestone by successfully expanding its reach into ASEAN with its new country managers, which is in response to an increased demand for SMS solutions and Video Live-Interaction services in the region. Wavecell is also driving more Video API initiatives by focusing mainly in the insurance and finance sector.
“I am thrilled to pull Wavecell into Thailand’s local scene where businesses are still learning the benefits of integrating SMS solutions into their services using our simple and powerful API,” said Narit Duangkruaratichote. “Therefore, we see a huge opportunity for us to bring customers on board for them to utilize our SMS web applications with its user-friendly and intuitive interfaces and detailed analytics. At the same time, to introduce video live-interaction services into the market.”
Narit brings over 15 years of experience in telecom, mobile advertising, and multimedia. Prior to joining Wavecell, he worked with several well-known telecom companies such as Nokia, Ericsson, and other mobile media companies. Narit will also be leading an initiative to educate Thailand businesses to better understand SMS API and video live-interaction integration to achieve greater revenue achievements for themselves.
Closer to Singapore, Hastaryo Cahyadi joins Wavecell after 5 years as a General Manager in one of the leading mobile advertising company in Indonesia. He brings along a vast range of business knowledge that will help Wavecell to successfully enter the local economy.
“A mix of healthy chaos and good competitions – this is how I would describe how businesses in Indonesia deal with sourcing for the best SMS service provider,” said Hastaryo. “Indonesian companies are no stranger to integrating and embedding SMS into their platforms. It is an exciting opportunity for me to work on building quality relationships with businesses here. I am positive that our SMS solutions and video live-interaction can provide the local businesses with better service, thanks to the experience that we learnt from the Indonesian market over the last few years which allowed us to craft an optimal offer.”
“I am confident that opening offices in those two new markets combined with the addition of our new country managers in the team, will greatly help us to further our regional expansion. Not only are they both motivated, but they are also passionate to journey with us as we continue to grow our brand in Asia-Pacific in the near future,” said Olivier Gerhardt, CEO, Wavecell.
